Peru's Deputy Foreign Minister Jose Beraun and Dubai's Minister of Economic Development, Sami Al Qamzi agreed to strengthen Saudi investments in Peru and increase Peruvian exports to United Arab Emirates (UAE).
They also agreed to organize events to promote economic
and trade relations between both nations.
During Beraun's official visit to the Arab countries, he
invited UAE authorities to participate in the 3rd South American-Arab Countries
Summit (ASPA) to be held in Lima, Peru.
UAE authorities also received the invitation by the
Peruvian government to attend the Business Forum, which will take place in
October in Peru along with ASPA summit, to deepen bilateral relationships
between Lima and Dubai.
According to Peru's Foreign Ministry, Dubai has invested
in Peruvian port, oil and tourism sectors.
At the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, UAE capital, by Beraun
and Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Dr. Saeed Al
Shamsi, both authorities noted that now is the right time to search new ways of
bilateral cooperation.
