Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic India Chamber of Commerce president Jabar Singh met with India of Industry and Commerce minister S Scindia and a delegation of business leaders from the Asian nation.
India’s new Ambassador in Dominican Republic. C. Rajasekhar also attended the meeting held in Havana, Cuba, where plans were discussed to bolster India-Dominican Republic bilateral relations.
The business delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industries, CII stated its interest in the Caribbean’s developing markets.
The representatives of sectors such as mining, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure construction, agricultural chemicals seeds and fertilizers, automotive, heavy machinery, electronics, alternative energy, and oil and gas invited a Dominican delegation to attend India’s International Trade Fair at New Delhi in November.
Singh, recently elected president of India Chamber, noted his country’s rapid growing in the global economy and sustained mutual relations with Dominican Republic. He also announced the visit by M Ganapathi, India Foreign Affairs Ministry’s secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs on August 22.
Singh, speaking in the company of India Chamber of Commerce senior officers Fernando Gonzalez Nicolas, Edmundo Gil and Eulogio Santaella, added that the visit by the India senior official will help forge even stronger ties between to our country and India.
