Iran's president says despite geographic distance between the two nations, the Islamic Revolution and Nicaragua's revolution are similar.
The Islamic Republic will support Nicaragua in the international community and will stand beside its friends, said Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Nicaraguan Ambassador to Tehran, Jorge Huezo Castrillo.
Referring to the agreements with Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Ahmadinejad said that all the accords would certainly be acted on.
The Nicaraguan envoy expressed delight over his presence in Iran and the recent victory of the Islamic Republic following IAEA's positive report.
Access to and application of peaceful nuclear energy is the inalienable right of Iran; Nicaragua will always back Iran, the ambassador said.

Iran favors Nicaragua's rights in international communities, said Iran's president meeting with the new ambassador of Managua to Tehran.
"Iran and Nicaragua are two brothers and in spite of the geographical distance the two nations are close to each other," said Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Nicaraguan new ambassador Jorge Castrio for his part noted he was happy to shake hand with a president who is one of the most courageous presidents of the world.
He also expressed happiness on Iran's nuclear victory following IAEA's recent report and added his country supports Iran's obvious rights in the international arena.
He also called for Iran's further support of his country in international communities.
