Pakistan: Unending Tragedy In Balochistan – Analysis
While hearing the Balochistan law and order case at its Quetta Registry, the Supreme Court (SC) on October 12, 2012, passed an interim order, castigating the Government for its failure to fulfil its duty to protect life and property, and to establish peace in Balochistan. The Court directed the Federal Government to ensure public security, and underlined the constitutional responsibilities and respective authority of both the Federal and the Provincial Governments, observing:

Pakistan - Unleashing the Dogs of War
The confrontation that we are calling for with the apostate regimes does not know Socratic debates... Platonic ideals... or Aristotelian diplomacy. But it knows the dialogue of bullets, the ideals of assassination, bombing and destruction, and the diplomacy of the cannon and machine gun. Islamic Governments have never and will never be established through peaceful solutions and cooperative councils. They are established as they [always] have been by pen and gun; by word and bullet, by tongue and teeth.

Pakistan- Gilgit-Baltistan: Murder most Foul
.…The Shias and Sunnis have always peacefully coexisted in Gilgit-Baltistan. Even today they do not consciously take up fights with each other, unless pushed. The history of violence here is old. It goes back to the days when Pakistan established a fake autonomy over us. It is since the last 40 years that our lives have been plagued by the ever present Pakistan military here.” ---Spokesman of a Gilgit-Baltistan nationalist organization, on condition of anonymity, in an interview to SAIR, March 2, 2012.

Pakistan- Peace Deal: Prelude to a Fiasco
On October 2, 2011, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that his administration was ready to hold negotiations with all militant groups, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Maulvi Faqir Muhammad, TTP's 'Deputy Commander' and 'Commander-in-Chief' for its Bajaur Chapter in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), spoke to the media on phone on October 3, 2011, declaring, "TTP welcomes the Prime Minister's offer." Before the bells could peal out for an imminent 'peace', unsurprisingly, the TTP 'commander' set out two unattainable preconditions for talks: One, the Government should reconsider its relationship with the United States (US); and, two, enforce Islamic Shari'ah (law) in the country.
