Central Americans fear an Onslaught of Criminal Returnees from the U.S.
Since long before the November 8 election of Donald Trump as president, concerns have been expressed night and day regarding undocumented immigrants (aka "illegal aliens") residing in the U.S., most recently singling out gangsters labeled as the "criminal alien population" by the U.S. government. And too, there is anxiousness regarding the anticipated arrival of future work-seeking and refugee emigrants fleeing south of the border nations.

The 'National Gendarmerie' and Mexico's Crime Fighting Plans
On Monday, December 17, during the second meeting of the new administration's National Public Security Council (CNSP), Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto formally ordered creation of the awaited "National Gendarmerie" (Gendarmería Nacional). This being part of the President's National Public Security Plan, the new national security strategy that will be in effect over the next six years, which has now been sent to the Congress for ratification.
