Argentina's relations with Uruguay at an all times low
Mr. Kirchner´s loyal “piqueteros” (bullies) have, once again, cut all international bridges that communicate Argentina with its neighbor, Uruguay.

Argentina's Political Polarization Increases
Néstor Kirchner (who does not speak any foreign languages and does not understand any culture but his own), has probably never heard the good advice given by king “Mufasa” to his cub “Simba” in the superb Broadway play -written by Messrs Roger Allens and Irene Mecchi- “The Lion King,” in which “Mufasa” tells his son that one thing is to be brave and a very different one to look for trouble. In fact, Néstor Kirchner cannot live without “polarizing” everything and everyone, no matter the cost involved.

Argentina's Democracy Is A Joke
A close look into Argentina’s democratic institutions -run by the Kirchners- provides an excellent example of what Marina Ottaway describes as “a semi-authoritarian regime” (See: Marina Ottaway, “Democracy Challenged”, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Washington, DC, 2003), i.e. “a system that combines rhetorical acceptance of liberal democracy, the existence of some formal democratic institutions and respect for a limited sphere of civil and political liberties with essentially illiberal or even authoritarian traits”.

Uruguay reacts against Argentina's intimidations
For months the three “international bridges” that cross the Uruguay river, connecting Argentina and Uruguay, have suffered systematic and sudden transit cuts caused by alleged Argentine “environmental activists” protesting against the building of three pulp and paper plants in the Uruguayan side of the river.

The Kirchners Continue Attacking Independent Journalists
For several months, Argentina’s President, Néstor Kirchner and his powerful wife, Senator Cristina Kirchner, have dramatically concentrated their constant attacks against freedom of the press on the leading Argentine independent daily: “La Nación”. Nevertheless, they have also intimidated and attacked any other journalist -or media- who may dare to disagree with any governmental policy whatsoever.

The Kirchners step-up attacks against “La Nación”
Both Argentina’s President Néstor Kirchner and his very powerful wife, Senator Cristina Kirchner, have dramatically increased their attacks against the leading Argentine free daily newspaper: “La Nación”. This has occurred because the authoritarian couple cannot tolerate freedom of the press.

Kirchner's Legislators Violated the Argentine Constitution
Luis Patti, the popular leader of a medium size political party, PAUFE, was elected to the Argentine Lower House with almost half a million votes behind him. Yesterday, notwithstanding such fact, he was abruptly denied his seat in Congress. Kirchner´s legislators -that hold a commanding majority in the Lower House- voted to send Patti’s credentials and antecedents to a Committee that will have to review them and report back to the House.

The Kirchners Turn in the Direction of Authoritarianism
Just like their beloved mentor, Hugo Chávez, in Argentina the Kirchner’s (as expected) have now clearly turned in the direction of authoritarianism and full control of Argentina, at all levels.
